What you would do
- Enforce safety rules and safe work practices across the site.
- Supervise the permit system for non-routine work.
- Ensure functionality of critical safety equipment at designated locations.
- Maintain integrity of fire suppression and detection systems on site.
- Regularly check fire truck readiness and coordinate repairs or maintenance.
- Coordinate with the site emergency responder team leader for evacuations during incidents.
- Conduct daily checks of underground storage water levels and fire hydrant pumps.
- Respond to fire incidents and fight fires within factory premises and company property.
- Oversee safety-related inspections and administrative duties as required.
- Collaborate with other teams to promote process safety and risk management.

- OND in a physical or pure science or related discipline
- Minimum of two years cognate experience in manufacturing, production or FMCG environment
- Membership of the Nigerian Institute of Safety Professionals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Good communication and teamwork abilities
