HSE Officer I - DSR Numan
About this role
Dangote Group seeks an HSE Officer I for the DSR Numan site in Adamawa. The role involves implementing and monitoring safety, health and environmental policies, conducting risk assessments, training staff on HSE procedures, promoting a proactive safety culture, and investigating incidents to prevent recurrence while supporting continuous improvement in safety and environmental sustainability.
What you would do
- Prepare weekly/monthly HSE performance reports.
- Maintain accurate HSE records and documentation.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans.
- Coordinate fire drills and evacuation exercises.
- Monitor waste disposal and environmental compliance.
- Investigate accidents, near misses and unsafe acts and prepare detailed incident reports and root cause analysis.
What they are asking for
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field.
- NEBOSH IGC, ISPON Certification, OSHA Training, ISO 45001 & 14001 Lead Auditor, IOSH Managing Safely and membership of a recognised HSE professional body.
- 3 - 5 years minimum experience.
