HSE Officer, Facilitator & Facility Officer

DATI is looking for a proactive HSE Officer, Facilitator and Facility Officer in Rivers. The role combines managing facility operations with leading health, safety and environmental compliance, as well as delivering safety training to learners. The successful candidate will implement the organisation's HSE framework, conduct risk assessments, and run emergency drills while overseeing facility infrastructure and utilities. The job targets individuals who can manage safety programmes, facilitate technical safety training and maintain safe, compliant facilities. What you would do

• Implement the HSE management framework and safety policies.
• Conduct daily workplace inspections and lead hazard identification and risk assessments.
• Deliver technical safety training to learners in class and practical settings.
• Investigate near-misses and incidents using root-cause analysis.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain MSDS records.
• Close out identified hazards within 48 hours.
• Oversee facility infrastructure, utilities, waste disposal and maintenance.
• Manage contract support staff such as cleaners, janitors and contracted security.
• Conduct weekly safety audits and quarterly emergency drills.
• Support emergency preparedness and audits as required.

What they are asking for

• BSc with 2nd Class Upper or HND Upper Credit in Environmental Sciences, Safety Engineering or related field.
• NEBOSH or OSHA certification required.
• At least 3 years of experience in safety management, HIRA, incident investigations, facility management and safety training.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
