HSE Officer - Experienced

About this role

An experienced HSE Officer is sought to lead and manage health, safety and environment functions across the organisation, ensuring regulatory compliance and maintaining the HSE Management System. The role is based in Port Harcourt and targets candidates with a background in HSE within the construction sector.

What you would do

• Monitor worksites and facilities for compliance with HSE policies and regulations.
• Conduct safety audits and site inspections of equipment, tools and worksites.
• Identify and correct potential hazards.
• Ensure adherence to ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 across project sites.
• Develop and implement project-specific HSE procedures and risk assessments.
• Maintain HSE documentation and lead training, investigations and incident reporting.

• NEBOSH or equivalent HSE certification (mandatory).
• Knowledge of ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or relevant HSE discipline.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in HSE roles, preferably in construction.
