The role involves helping implement HSE policies, conducting risk assessments, site inspections, toolbox talks, inductions, and incident investigations, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The position is based in Ayetoro, Ogun State or Siriwon, Lagos, and is offered on a full-time or contract basis. What you would do
- Support the implementation of HSE policies on site
- Conduct risk assessments and toolbox talks
- Perform site inspections and inductions
- Investigate incidents and follow up on corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and legislation
- Assist with traffic safety and risk management on site
- Collaborate with project teams to promote safety culture
- Maintain HSE records and reporting as required
- Participate in safety meetings and trainings
- Monitor and reinforce hazard controls on projects
What they are asking for
- Minimum 1 year of HSE experience, construction experience is an advantage
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Social Science, or a related field
- ISPON General HSE certification
- ISPON Level 3 Contractor Competence Development certification
- Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, risk management, incident investigation and traffic safety
