HSE Officer

About this role

Paras Energy is looking for a responsible HSE Officer to implement health, safety and environmental standards on its solar project sites. The role involves identifying workplace hazards, ensuring compliance with HSE procedures and regulations, and supervising site activities.

What you would do

• Implement HSE standards on solar installation and maintenance activities
• Enforce PPE requirements and promote safety culture among employees and contractors
• Conduct risk assessments and establish appropriate control measures
• Oversee the Permit-to-Work system for applicable activities
• Lead toolbox talks and safety briefings for hazard communication
• Carry out routine site inspections and ensure timely corrective actions

What they are asking for

• Minimum of 1 year relevant work experience
• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• HSE Level 1-3 certification is required
• Willingness to travel and work across different project locations
• Candidates based in or around Lagos, Kano, Abuja, and Enugu are encouraged to apply
