HSE Engineer (Hull and Facilities FLNG)

The role is for an HSE Engineer focusing on Hull and Facilities for FLNG, based in Lagos on a contract basis. What you would do
- Prepare HSE reports and monitor performance indicators.
- Support safety reviews for construction, commissioning, permit-to-work, and SIMOPS.
- Review engineering deliverables for HSE compliance.
- Monitor contractor compliance with HSE plans, regulations and client requirements.
- Investigate incidents and near misses and track corrective actions.
- Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, environmental assessments and risk studies.
- Support environmental management, pollution prevention and waste management initiatives.
- Identify design hazards and recommend risk-reduction measures.
- Communicate findings and maintain HSE records.
- Assist with auditing and reporting as required.

- Minimum 8–12 years of relevant HSE experience, preferably in offshore facilities, LNG/FLNG, FPSO, or major Oil & Gas projects.
- Experience in engineering HSE, construction safety, or project risk management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a related discipline.
- Relevant professional certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH are advantageous.
- Strong auditing, incident investigation, communication and reporting skills.
- Knowledge of HSE management systems, hazard identification, risk assessment and process safety principles.
