HRIS Support Engineer

About this role

Adept HRIS Support Engineer needed by Amaiden Energy Nigeria Limited to ensure reliable HRIS operations across Port Harcourt. The role focuses on system integration with payroll and HR modules, user support and training, incident management, data security, system upgrades, maintenance, testing, documentation, reporting, and continuous improvement of HR information systems. It targets candidates with strong database, programming, and BI skills, and extensive experience in similar HRIS environments. The employer engages in oil and gas projects and seeks to maintain accurate employee data and compliant HR processes. The position involves coordinating with HR, IT, vendors and other stakeholders to sustain service delivery.

What you would do

• Support integration of HRIS with payroll, recruitment, time and attendance, performance management and other enterprise applications.
• Provide technical assistance, guidance and training to HR personnel and system users.
• Maintain day-to-day HRIS administration and ensure system availability and reliability.
• Coordinate with HR teams, IT, vendors and stakeholders to resolve issues and implement improvements.
• Log, track, prioritise and resolve support tickets according to SLAs; document changes and root causes.
• Enforce data security controls and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Diagnose, investigate and resolve HRIS related issues; escalate when necessary.
• Assist with HRIS upgrades, patches, testing, configuration changes and feature deployments.
• Configure and maintain HRIS modules, user roles, access permissions and settings.
• Conduct testing (functional, regression, UAT) and ensure enhancements meet requirements before deployment.

• University degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related fields.
• Excellent knowledge of Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, SAP and PL/SQL.
• Knowledge of HRIS processes and procedures; experience with middle tier tools (C#.NET, Java).
• Exceptional MS Excel skills; strong reporting development and integration knowledge.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role and environment.
• Strong people management and communication skills.
• Experience with Power BI or similar BI tools; JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, CSS).
• Knowledge of system testing and debugging.
