HR Manager - Retail Store

About this role

A full-time HR Manager for a major retail store in Lagos, responsible for overseeing the complete HR function and workforce management in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Targets are to support operations with a productive, well-managed staff and ensure policy compliance.

What you would do

• Manage end-to-end recruitment for retail, administrative, supervisory and management roles
• Coordinate interviews, background checks, onboarding and documentation
• Handle employee relations, grievances and workplace issues
• Mediate conflicts and promote positive employee engagement
• Oversee performance management processes and address productivity gaps
• Monitor attendance, leave, attendance records and payroll-related inputs

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in HR, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Management or related field
• Minimum of 5 years' HR experience, with managerial or supervisory responsibility
• Experience in retail, supermarket, FMCG, hospitality or high-volume environments preferred
• Strong knowledge of recruitment, employee relations, performance management and HR administration
• Knowledge of Nigerian labour laws and HR practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems; strong communication and leadership skills
