HR Business Partner - Core & Enabling Functions

About this role

Heritage Energy Operational Services Limited in Lagos seeks an experienced HR Business Partner to support the company’s people strategy and drive business performance. The role focuses on talent management, organisational effectiveness, payroll and rewards, and partners with leaders across upstream oil and gas functions, including drilling, wells, subsurface, production, projects and JV partners.

What you would do

• Partner with business leaders to align HR strategies with operational objectives and plan workforce needs
• Drive compensation, benefits and payroll processes, ensuring governance and cost management
• Lead talent management and organisational development, including performance and succession planning
• Oversee employee and industrial relations, handling investigations, disciplinary processes and engagement initiatives
• Manage change management and organisational effectiveness initiatives, including restructurings and transformation workstreams
• Produce HR analytics and maintain BambooHR-based reports and dashboards to support governance and decision-making

• Proven experience as an HR Business Partner with strong business partnering capability
• Experience in the Upstream Oil & Gas sector, supporting technical talent across drilling, wells, subsurface, production, projects and operations; JV partner management
• Experience in compensation, benefits, payroll, and workforce cost management
• Experience in employee relations, performance management, talent development, and organisational design
• Proficiency in HR analytics and reporting, with familiarity with BambooHR for data, governance and audits
• Strong stakeholder management and advisory skills, including collaboration with senior HR and business leaders
