Hotel Capitol in Lagos is hiring a Kitchen Assistant to join its hotel team. The role supports daily food preparation and kitchen operations, helps maintain cleanliness and hygiene, and assists chefs as needed. Training will be provided, so prior experience is not required. What you would do

• Assist chefs with basic food preparation such as washing, peeling and cutting ingredients
• Set up the kitchen before service and清 up after service
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and wash utensils, dishes and equipment
• Keep food items and supplies arranged and stored properly
• Follow instructions from chefs and kitchen supervisors
• Ensure proper hygiene and food safety standards are followed
• Dispose of waste properly and keep work areas tidy
• Support smooth kitchen operations at all times
• Help with washing and drying kitchen items and equipment
• Assist with general kitchen duties as directed by supervisors

• Physically fit and able to stand for long hours
• Minimum of SSCE or equivalent (preferred but not compulsory)
• 0–1 year of relevant experience
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

• Experience is not compulsory as training will be provided
• Proximity to the work location (Ojodu Berger, Akute, Ogba, Ikorodu axis)
