High Voltage Engineer (Bess & Power Distribution)

Power Ark Infrastructure Ltd seeks an experienced High Voltage Engineer specialising in battery energy storage systems (BESS) and electrical power distribution. The role is hands-on and requires independent installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and maintenance of HV BESS and related equipment. The position involves integrating solar PV, battery storage, inverters and distribution infrastructure, along with configuring transfer switches, EMS, BMS and power conversion systems. Candidates should have a strong background in 11kV/33kV distribution, transformers, switchgear and protection systems, and be capable of fault diagnosis and compliance with safety and design standards. The employer provides end-to-end PV and energy storage solutions and operates across various markets. The salary is negotiable based on experience and qualifications. What you would do

• Install, configure, test and commission high-voltage BESS and related electrical equipment.
• Perform work on transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, protection devices and power distribution systems.
• Integrate solar PV systems, battery storage, inverters and distribution infrastructure.
• Configure and troubleshoot ATS, STS, EMS, BMS and power conversion systems.
• Conduct electrical load assessments, cable sizing, fault diagnosis and maintenance.
• Interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams and protection schemes.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, approved designs and manufacturer specifications.
• Prepare technical, testing, commissioning and maintenance reports.
• Provide independent technical installations, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Maintain and service electrical systems according to safety requirements.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (mandatory).
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on electrical engineering experience.
• Practical experience with high-voltage BESS and medium/high-voltage distribution systems.
• Strong knowledge of transformers, switchgear, protection systems, testing and commissioning.
• Practical experience with 11kV/33kV distribution systems.
• Experience with industrial solar PV and large-scale battery energy storage installations.
• Technical competence in lithium battery systems, BMS, EMS, ATS and STS.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical faults independently.
• Strong understanding of high-voltage electrical safety procedures.
• COREN registration and relevant high-voltage safety or equipment-specific certifications are advantageous.
