What you would do

• Diagnose, service and repair diesel generators (15 kVA, 20 kVA, 30 kVA and higher) and related engine systems.
• Troubleshoot alternators, AVRs, control panels and electrical faults in generator setups.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacement and coolant checks.
• Maintain automatic transfer switches and generator changeover systems; conduct load testing.
• Install, service and repair HVAC systems including compressors, condensers, evaporators and related components.
• Identify refrigerant leaks, evacuate and recharge systems per specifications.
• Troubleshoot cooling inefficiencies, electrical faults and abnormal system operations.
• Carry out preventive maintenance to improve equipment efficiency and lifespan.
• Maintain refrigeration systems including cold rooms, chillers and freezers; diagnose refrigeration faults.
• Ensure proper operation of equipment and keep maintenance records and documentation.

• HND or BSc in Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering field (or equivalent technical certification with practical experience).
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with heavy-duty diesel generators, HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot generator engines and electrical control systems.
• Knowledge of refrigeration cycles, compressors and refrigerants; ability to read drawings and manuals.
• Competence with multimeters, pressure gauges, refrigerant manifolds and diagnostic tools.
• Experience maintaining cold rooms and industrial refrigeration is highly desirable.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently; good time management and attention to detail.
• Physically fit and willing to undertake hands-on maintenance; flexible to urgent repairs.
