Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Supervisor for Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc in Lagos. The role supports the company’s HSE performance by implementing objectives and ensuring compliance with local regulations to prevent injuries and maintain a safe working environment at the Lagos site.

What you would do

• Conduct regular site safety audits and inspections of material-handling equipment.
• Maintain records of audit findings and prepare reports with recommendations.
• Inspect the facility to identify accident risks, fire hazards and safety hazards, and report promptly.
• Implement and manage a work permit system for non-routine and hazardous tasks and issue permits as required.
• Monitor PPE usage and ensure provision of appropriate PPE with proper storage facilities.
• Deliver safety inductions for staff and conduct toolbox talks and safety pep talks, and follow up on safety engagement index parameters.

• OND in a science-related discipline.
• HSE Level 2 and 3 certification.
• At least two years cognate experience in manufacturing or FMCG.
• Basic training in safety procedures (e.g., fire safety).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong reporting skills and understanding of food safety, hygiene and sanitation management systems; IPM and hygiene control programs; ability to work under minimal supervision.
