Health, Safety, and Environment Lead
About this role
A health, safety and environment lead is sought to provide strategic direction and management of HSE, sustainability and related regulatory compliance across Emzor’s operations in Ogun. The role targets someone with significant HSE experience in manufacturing or similar industries and a track record in leading safety and environmental programmes.
What you would do
- Lead HSE, safety, environmental and sustainability initiatives across the organisation
- Conduct factory, warehouse and workplace inspections and implement controls for identified hazards
- Oversee investigations of incidents, near-misses and fires and apply corrective actions
- Supervise safe work procedures, permit-to-work, emergency preparedness and risk management
- Coordinate HSE inductions, trainings, drills and awareness programmes
- Prepare and submit HSE/ESG reports and lead environmental monitoring and waste management activities

- BSc in a science-related discipline
- HSE Level 3 Supervisory Certification
- IOSH Managing Safely/Managing Safety certification
- NEBOSH certification
- ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor certification
- Minimum of 5 years' relevant HSE experience in manufacturing/pharmaceutical/industrial environment
