About this role
The role is for a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Supervisor at Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc (Golden Penny Foods), based in Lagos area. It targets individuals with a background in science and knowledge of food safety, hygiene and safety practices within manufacturing or FMCG settings.
What you would do
- Monitor factory operations to ensure proper use of PPE and provide corrective actions and storage facilities.
- Manage a strict work permit system for non-routine and hazardous tasks and prepare weekly HSE reports.
- Inspect the facility to identify accident risks, fire hazards and safety issues and report them promptly.
- Conduct regular site and safety audits and maintain records with recommendations to ensure policy implementation.
- Deliver safety inductions, guide staff on safe practices, conduct toolbox talks and follow up on safety engagement metrics.
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to HSE findings and contractor work permits.
