Starzs Investments Company Limited is seeking an experienced Head of Supply Chain in Rivers. The role involves leading procurement, logistics, inventory management, vendor management, and overall supply chain operations to support marine logistics services for oil and gas projects. The successful candidate will focus on operational efficiency, cost optimisation, risk management, regulatory compliance, and team performance. The employer is a 100% indigenous marine logistics service provider with a history dating back to 1986 in Nigeria.

What you would do

• Develop and implement supply chain and procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee procurement, logistics, warehousing, and inventory management.
• Lead supplier selection, tendering, bid evaluations, and contract negotiations.
• Manage supplier relationships, registration, qualification, and performance evaluation.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives while ensuring timely availability of materials and services.
• Oversee inventory planning, stock control, replenishment, and distribution.
• Coordinate supply chain support for vessel maintenance, dry-docking, repairs, and projects.
• Monitor supply chain KPIs, budgets, risks, and performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and maritime regulations.
• Maintain procurement records, contracts, vendor databases, and management reports.

What they are asking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Master’s degree or MBA is an added advantage.
• Professional certification such as CIPS, CPSM, CIPSMN, ISM, or equivalent is preferred.
• 10–15 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Experience in maritime, shipping, marine logistics, oil and gas, or related industries is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership, commercial, negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
