Head, Supply and Material Planning

About this role

A senior role responsible for leading end-to-end supply and material planning, ensuring material availability, optimal inventory and continuous supply. It requires coordinating with procurement, manufacturing, logistics and commercial teams to translate demand into feasible supply plans for Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals in Lagos.

What you would do

• Govern the integrated S&OP/IBP cycle and align supply with demand and financial targets.
• Define multi-year supply planning strategy including make-vs-buy and capacity decisions.
• Manage end-to-end material requirements planning and maintain BOMs, lead times and replenishment parameters.
• Maintain safety stock and reorder levels; oversee master production scheduling with manufacturing and warehouse teams.
• Identify and resolve supply constraints to prevent production stoppages.
• Drive inventory optimization, reporting and action planning; lead continuous improvement in planning processes.

What they are asking for

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; MBA/MSc preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive supply chain experience, with at least 5 years in a senior planning leadership role.
• Professional certifications such as APICS CPIM/CSCP; Lean or Six Sigma advantageous.
• Strong experience in S&OP/IBP, inventory optimization and material availability in manufacturing or FMCG.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP MM/PP, Oracle SCM) and advanced planning tools (Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, o9)
• Strong analytical, leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
