About this role
The role involves using research and market intelligence to identify growth opportunities for NASD OTC, enhance investability and visibility of securities, support issuer origination, and develop new products to boost trading activity and revenue. It is suited for someone with extensive experience in Nigerian capital markets who can connect research to commercial strategy.
What you would do
- Identify sectors, companies and securities with potential for admission, capital raising and secondary-market activity.
- Develop target lists and investment cases for the Business Development team.
- Produce research and market intelligence to support issuer origination and investor engagement.
- Create standardised issuer profiles covering key financial and market information.
- Monitor market quality metrics such as trading activity, liquidity and investor concentration.
- Analyse the commercial paper market and support programmes, pricing, and market-making opportunities.
What they are asking for
- Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing or related field.
- MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification strongly preferred.
- 8-12+ years of experience in equity or fixed-income research, investment banking, asset management, securities markets, strategy or capital-market infrastructure.
- Deep understanding of Nigerian capital markets, securities, valuation, market structure and investor behaviour.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with ability to translate data into commercial recommendations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to present insights to senior management, issuers and investors.
