About this role
A senior operations role overseeing reconciliation, settlement and chargeback activities for the bank, with responsibility for supervising the operations team and ensuring timely processing of transactions. It targets experienced banking operations professionals who can coordinate electronic transfers, settlements and related reconciliations in a Lagos-based environment.
What you would do
- Monitor reconciliation of electronic fund transfers and associated general ledgers
- Oversee posting of settlement entries to the correct ledgers and accounts
- Authorize POS merchant inward transfers into client accounts
- Track and approve failed inflows due to system issues to customer accounts
- Review daily bank application transactions against switching and settlement reports
- Perform daily reconciliation of external statements with internal GLs and ensure accurate investment confirmations

- First degree in Accounting, Banking and Finance or related discipline
- Minimum 10 years post-graduation experience in Banking Operations
- Postgraduate degree or MBA is an added advantage
- Strong communication skills and MS Office proficiency
- Sound understanding of bank products and operational processes
- Customer service orientation
