Head of Treasury
About this role
The Head of Treasury is a senior on-site role in Lagos (with regular involvement in Port Harcourt) responsible for designing treasury policies, managing liquidity and banking relationships, and overseeing hedging and investment activities to support the organisation’s capital and funding needs.
What you would do
- Design and implement treasury policies and governance controls
- Manage liquidity, funding requirements and daily liquidity position
- Oversee money market activities and evaluate investment opportunities
- Assess counterparty risk and maintain relationships with banks and institutional counterparties
- Coordinate asset-liability management and funding strategy with Finance and Risk teams
- Prepare reports for ALCO, Management and the Board on liquidity, investments and treasury performance
What they are asking for
- MBA, MSc or relevant postgraduate qualification preferred
- Minimum of 15 years' relevant experience in treasury-related roles
- Significant experience in bank treasury, money markets, asset-liability management or investment management
- Experience with hedging and risk management tools for currency, rate and market exposures
- Proven leadership and people management abilities
- Strong analytical, financial modelling and communication skills
