Head of Security & HSE

DHL Global Forwarding in Lagos, Nigeria is seeking a Head of Security & HSE to lead the country’s health, safety and environment as well as security functions. The role involves developing and implementing strategies to maintain a safe and healthy workplace, protect employees, shipments and assets, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

What you would do

• Lead the health, safety and environment function at country level, developing and implementing HSE strategies in line with business goals and policies.
• Lead the security function at country level, developing and implementing security strategy to protect staff, shipments and company assets and reduce risk.
• Plan and manage HSE operational plans and budgets to achieve defined results.
• Plan, organise and control large country-level projects and initiatives to improve health, safety and environmental performance.
• Develop standards, guidelines, programmes and tools to maintain defined HSE standards and ensure compliance with internal and external standards and regulations.
• Direct investigations, audits and data analysis to support compliance and improvements; build relationships with community, regulators and law enforcement.
