About this role
A senior leadership role to drive sales and commercial growth for a fast-growing food and beverage distribution firm in Lagos. Reporting to the CEO/MD and Commercial Director, the Head of Sales will lead the sales function, develop strategy, and build the team and systems to scale the business.
What you would do
- Develop and execute the sales and commercial growth strategy.
- Own sales volume, revenue, distribution and market penetration targets.
- Develop growth plans across territories, channels, products, customers and distributors.
- Build a data-driven sales function with dashboards, KPIs and performance insights.
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Drive route-to-market and distribution expansion across priority channels.
What they are asking for
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Finance or related discipline.
- MBA or relevant professional qualification is an advantage.
- 8–12+ years of progressive sales/commercial experience.
- At least 5 years in a senior sales or commercial leadership role.
- Strong FMCG, beverage, wine, spirits, food distribution or related sector experience.
- Experience managing multi-territory sales operations.
