Head of Sales role based in Lagos Mainland for a pharmaceutical/healthcare sales leadership position. We are looking for candidates with extensive sales management experience and a track record in achieving revenue, debt management and distributor/key account growth.
What you would do
- Develop and execute annual, quarterly and monthly sales plans aligned with revenue and growth targets.
- Translate targets into regional, territory, account and product goals with owners and timelines.
- Enforce credit limits, payment terms and pricing policies; develop recovery plans for overdue accounts.
- Lead negotiations with key customers and manage relationships with distributors and major accounts.
- Monitor field execution, territory potential, coverage and route-to-market effectiveness; ensure product detailing and order conversion.
- Lead, coach and develop the sales team and collaborate with Marketing, Finance and HR.
What they are asking for
- Minimum of eight years' progressive sales experience in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, healthcare or related field.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian pharmaceutical and healthcare market and institutional sales channels.
- 3 to 5 years' experience leading a multi-regional sales team and managing sales managers.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management or related discipline.
- Postgraduate qualification or recognised commercial certification is an advantage.
- Proficiency in sales reporting, forecasting, spreadsheets and presentation tools; ability to deliver on targets.
