Head of Research

About this role

Head of Research to lead rigorous education research for EIDU Nigeria, designing studies, translating findings into programme decisions, and representing evidence to donors, governments, and the sector. Works with the Head of Measurement & Evaluation to align data and measurement infrastructure.

What you would do

• Design research protocols suitable for diverse contexts
• Collaborate with external researchers on impact evidence generation
• Lead impact evaluations on literacy, numeracy, and transition outcomes
• Create and implement high-quality research studies informing programme development
• Analyse data to generate actionable insights for programme improvement
• Produce research reports and briefs for internal and external audiences

What they are asking for

• PhD or advanced degree in social sciences, data science, education, or related field
• 8+ years of relevant professional experience
• Strong statistical skills and ability to interpret research findings
• Experience leading applied research projects and securing funding is desirable
• Excellent communication and ability to translate technical information for non-technical audiences
• Experience working in diverse, multicultural teams and start-up environments
