About this role

The role is for Head of Projects and Infrastructure at Aero Alliance Limited, located at Enugu International Airport. It is a full-time, owner-side leadership position responsible for delivering major airport infrastructure and capital projects on schedule, within budget, with required quality, safety, and operational readiness. The role requires combining technical and project management skills with airport operations knowledge and stakeholder management. The employer seeks more than a construction professional, emphasising end-to-end project delivery and ORAT readiness. Responsibilities involve leading ORAT activities, coordinating consultants and contractors, monitoring budgets and progress, securing regulatory approvals, and reporting to the Managing Director with project dashboards.

What you would do

• Lead testing, commissioning, handover and ORAT activities
• Coordinate and manage consultants, contractors, engineers and project partners
• Monitor CAPEX budgets, variations, claims, contractor performance and project progress
• Coordinate regulatory approvals involving NCAA, FAAN and other authorities
• Ensure construction within the live airport environment minimises operational disruption
• Provide the MD & CEO with regular project dashboards covering progress, cost, risks and decisions
• Oversee project scope, design, programme, cost, quality, risk, approvals and change management
• Lead the integrated capital projects programme including terminal development, refurbishment, airside infrastructure, utilities, roads, power, baggage systems and other CAPEX projects
• Ensure airport operational requirements are incorporated into designs

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• 7 - 11 years' experience in major infrastructure/project delivery
• Strong reporting and senior stakeholder-management skills
• Proven experience managing complex multidisciplinary projects, consultants and contractors
• Experience managing major CAPEX projects from design through commissioning
• Knowledge of project planning, cost control, contracts, risk and change management
• Preferred: FIDIC or similar contract-management experience
• ORAT/airport commissioning experience
• Ideally 11 years' total experience, including at least 5 years on airport projects and prior owner/client-side experience
• Experience in a live operational environment, knowledge of ICAO, IATA ADRM and airport planning principles, PMP/PRINCE2 or equivalent, relevant accreditation
