Head of Programme responsible for leading and overseeing NRC Nigeria’s programme portfolio from Abuja, ensuring high-quality, donor-compliant projects and strategic programme growth. The role demands senior management experience in humanitarian or recovery contexts and strong partnership, MEAL, and fundraising coordination.

What you would do

• Ensure sound and timely grants management through the PCM framework in line with donor requirements
• Lead development of the country office fundraising strategy by mapping donor policies and priorities
• Strengthen collaboration with other actors through networks, cooperation and partnerships
• Ensure consistency and promote synergy between programme and support units
• Lead development and implementation of Nigeria country partnership strategy and strengthen partner capacity
• Contribute to country strategy development and act as Country Director when delegated

• Minimum 5 years in a senior management role in humanitarian or recovery contexts with programme or project management responsibility
• Bachelor degree in a relevant field; advanced qualification an added advantage
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, with strong drafting skills
• Experience coordinating or leading consortia or partnerships and working with MEAL systems and accountability frameworks
• Experience in complex and volatile environments and with start-up, scale-up, emergency or early recovery projects
• Knowledge of donor landscape and priorities and ability to align programmes with NRC policy and strategy
