Head of Personal Banking Sales Network
About this role
Moniepoint seeks a Head of Personal Banking Sales Network in Lagos. This is a leadership role responsible for the retail personal banking sales distribution network, not individual selling. The job involves building, motivating and overseeing a large independent contractor field force and the regional management layer above it, with metrics centred on qualified customer acquisition and product penetration at a defensible cost per unit.
What you would do
- Own end-to-end performance of the sales team to meet acquisition and transaction targets through the field channel
- Manage agent productivity metrics such as acquisitions per active agent per month and time to first sale for new agents
- Oversee network health including active agent count, attrition, reactivation and coverage in priority cities
- Design and maintain territory structure prioritising priority cities
- Set recruitment targets for each city/cluster and monitor delivery against targets
- Manage cost per acquisition through the sales channel, including commissions and incentives
- Design commission and incentive structures that reward activated and transacting customers
- Ensure full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Lead field sales performance routines: daily check-ins, weekly regional reviews, monthly business reviews
What they are asking for
- 10 - 15 years in field sales leadership with at least 5 years leading regional sales leaders
- Direct experience running a distributed agent, agency or independent contractor network at significant scale
- Proven ownership of a commission or incentive scheme, including design and cost defence
- Strong command of sales analytics including funnel conversion and cohort-based performance
- Strong people leadership skills for large field sales teams
- Experience in financial services, telecoms, FMCG distribution or other high-volume regulated industries
- Willingness to travel regularly across regions
