Head of Personal Banking

About this role

A strategic executive role leading Kolomoni Microfinance Bank's personal banking business, with full P&L ownership and a focus on growing and monetising the retail customer base. The position targets candidates with senior consumer leadership experience in telecoms, mobile money, digital financial services, or retail banking.

What you would do

• Define and execute mass customer growth strategies to acquire and activate customers
• Design customer segmentation and create product propositions for different user groups
• Utilise data to monitor and improve customer value, reduce churn and increase lifetime value
• Build and leverage grassroots distribution through POS, agents and merchants
• Ensure excellent customer experience across app and USSD platforms
• Own the Personal Banking P&L, deposits, active users, revenue, and channel experience

• 10–15 years of senior commercial or consumer leadership experience in telecoms, mobile money, digital financial services, or retail banking
• Proven track record in mass consumer acquisition, CVM, channel distribution, and P&L management
• Experience scaling consumer usage and daily active users at scale
• Strategic mindset with ability to drive growth and profitability
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Understanding of POS, agent networks, and merchant ecosystems is an asset
