About this role
A contract role for a Registered Nurse to lead the General Ward as Head of Department. The position is based in Ibadan, Oyo, and targets experienced nurses with supervisory or HOD exposure.
What you would do
- Lead clinical and administrative functions in the General Ward.
- Supervise and evaluate nurses and support staff.
- Prepare and manage the ward staffing rota.
- Ensure safe, high-quality nursing care and appropriate escalation.
- Oversee medication administration and patient documentation.
- promote infection control, staff development, and interdepartmental communication.

- Registered Nurse (RN) qualification.
- Bachelor of Nursing Science (B.NSc.).
- Current Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) licence.
- Minimum 5 years post-qualification nursing experience (or NYSC).
- Experience in General Ward or Medical/Surgical settings; supervisory or HOD experience preferred.
