About this role
Head of Mechanical Engineering based in Rivers, responsible for the technical content of field mechanical maintenance, including maintenance plans, spare-parts coverage and related procedures. The role involves coordinating with contractors and the methods department, managing spare parts data in SAP UNISUP, and providing technical support to optimise equipment performance while ensuring HSE compliance and mobilisation of external resources.
What you would do
- Manage the technical content of mechanical maintenance methods, including maintenance plans, spare parts coverage, working techniques, and procedures.
- Review and ensure proper implementation of contractor maintenance plans; coordinate with the Methods Department to consolidate the plans.
- Ensure suitable spare-parts availability through stock management and initiate improvements for reliability, availability and cost optimisation.
- Act as Technical Administrator for mechanical spare parts, and manage equipment support means including documentation, tooling and software.
- Provide technical expertise to address equipment failures and performance losses; analyse equipment performance, perform technical studies and propose improvements or modification studies as required.
- Coordinate and manage mobilisation of external resources for mechanical operations, ensuring compliance with company rules, procedures and HSE standards.

- University degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Knowledge of turbo machinery.
- Minimum 10 years' experience as Mechanical Engineer, including at least 5 years in the petrochemical industry.
- Minimum 5 years in a supervisory operational position.
