Head of Fuel Management
About this role
Role: Head of Fuel Management responsible for strategic fuel procurement and operations to ensure uninterrupted supply of CNG, coal and alternative fuels for a cement plant. Intended for candidates with substantial experience in fuel management, preferably in cement or similar heavy industry.
What you would do
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fuel procurement strategy for CNG, coal and alternative fuels.
- Manage on-site CNG storage, regasification, and distribution infrastructure and coordinate with maintenance.
- Oversee fuel quality assurance, monitoring key parameters and coordinating third-party testing.
- Coordinate logistics and transport to ensure timely delivery of all fuel types; optimise supply chain and lead supplier negotiations.
- Ensure HSE and regulatory compliance for fuel handling, storage and operations; liaise with EWURA and other authorities.
- Manage budgeting, cost control and reporting for fuel supply and consumption.
What they are asking for
- Master's degree in MBA, Supply Chain Management or Energy Management is an added advantage.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or related technical field.
- Professional certifications in HSE or logistics desirable.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior or managerial role overseeing fuel procurement, logistics or AF operations.
- Strong experience with coal and AF management in a rotary kiln/cement plant context strongly preferred.
- Total 10–15 years in fuel management, supply chain or energy fields.
