About this role

The Head of Finance for Paystack Microfinance Bank will oversee the bank’s finance function, including accounting, treasury, prudential reporting and compliance, budgeting and financial control. The role targets a senior finance professional with regulated bank experience to manage financial health and regulatory standing.

What you would do

• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual financial close and produce IFRS financial statements on time
• Lead statutory audit and maintain a clean record with external auditors
• Design and operate internal financial controls and reconciliations
• Prepare group reporting packs and align local IFRS figures with group requirements
• Submit CBN and NDIC returns accurately and on schedule, and address any filing issues
• Manage daily liquidity, funding, and cash positions and oversee treasury activities

What they are asking for

• 10+ years in finance, with at least 4 years in a senior finance role at a CBN-licensed bank, microfinance bank or other regulated financial institution
• Professional accounting qualification (ICAN, ACCA, CIMA or CPA) and registration with the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria
• Hands-on experience with CBN and NDIC returns and CBN examinations
• Strong IFRS knowledge, including IFRS 9 expected credit loss
• Experience in treasury and liquidity management in a deposit-taking institution
• Clean regulatory record meeting CBN fit-and-proper criteria for key management roles
