Head of Finance and Treasury
About this role
A full-time Head of Finance and Treasury is needed in Abuja to manage the bank’s financials, treasury operations, regulatory reporting and overall financial controls, providing financial insight to the MD/CEO and Board. The role targets candidates with senior finance or treasury leadership experience in banking or regulated financial institutions.
What you would do
- Develop and implement the company’s financial strategy and budgets
- Manage cash, liquidity and working capital and oversee bank accounts and treasury transactions
- Monitor investments and portfolio performance and support due diligence on opportunities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and management information
- Establish and maintain financial controls, risk management and compliance with standards
- Lead and develop the Finance and Treasury team and coordinate audits and external reporting
What they are asking for
- BSc/HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
- ACA/ACCA or equivalent professional qualification preferred
- 8–12 years of relevant experience with 3–5 years in a senior leadership role in finance/treasury
- Experience with core banking systems and strong Excel/data-analysis skills
- Knowledge of IFRS, taxation, treasury and liquidity management; familiarity with CBN/NDIC reporting
- Strong integrity, discretion, and ability to work with limited supervision
