Head of Finance
About this role
The Head of Finance leads the company’s financial strategy, daily financial operations, and regulatory compliance, acting as a strategic advisor to the CEO and board. The role is for a senior finance professional with leadership experience in Lagos, working full-time for a fleet management provider.
What you would do
- Develop and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow models
- Oversee preparation of financial statements, variance analysis, and management reports
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and financial reporting standards and manage risks
- Recruit, mentor and manage the finance and accounting team
- Implement and improve financial policies, internal controls, and accounting software
- Utilise accounting software and ERP systems to enhance efficiency
What they are asking for
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
- Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA
- 7+ years of progressive financial management experience, including senior leadership
- Strong understanding of corporate finance and hands-on experience with accounting/ERP software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP)
- Excellent strategic thinking, commercial acumen and communication skills for board-level presentation
- Experience in Lagos or willingness to work at Amuwo Odofin, Lagos
