Head, Internal Control and Audit (ICA)

Rockmould Limited is recruiting for a Head of Internal Control and Audit in Lagos. What you would do

• Identify and monitor operational, financial and compliance risks and provide mitigation recommendations.
• Develop and implement a risk-based annual internal audit plan.
• Lead, supervise and develop the Internal Control & Risk and Internal Audit / Business Assurance teams.
• Ensure management acts on audit findings and track their closure.
• Conduct special reviews and investigations into irregularities or potential fraud.
• Present audit reports and recommendations to Management and the Board.
• Design and strengthen internal control systems, policies and procedures across departments.
• Audit project costs, procurement, inventory, payroll, payments and contracts for compliance and value for money.

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIA, CISA or equivalent.
• Knowledge of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO), audit standards and risk management practices.
• Strong analytical, reporting and communication skills.
• Experience in construction, real estate or project-based industries is advantageous.
• High integrity, independence and sound judgement.
• 8–10 years’ experience in internal audit, internal control or risk management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
