About this role

A full-time Head of Internal Audit and Control role in Anambra, responsible for independent assurance on governance, risk, and internal controls, and leading risk-based audits. The position targets experienced professionals in internal audit and risk management with leadership background.

What you would do

• Lead risk-based audits and report findings to management and the Board Audit Committee.
• Track audit findings and verify implementation of recommendations.
• Develop audit dashboards and use data analytics to identify trends and control exceptions.
• Coordinate investigations into fraud, procurement irregularities, and staff/vendor collusion.
• Prepare periodic audit reports detailing findings, risks, root causes, and corrective actions.
• Review and strengthen internal controls, policies, SOPs, approval limits, and segregation of duties.

What they are asking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk management, fraud detection, and audit practices.
• Professional certification such as ICAN (ACA), CIA, CISA, or ACCA is required.
• At least 10 years’ experience in internal audit, internal control, risk management, or compliance.
• Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, distribution, or high-volume stock environments is desirable.
• Advanced Excel and ERP data analysis skills; Power BI, IDEA, or ACL is an advantage.
