Head, Finance and Investments (Hybrid)

About this role

VivaFemini Limited is seeking a Head of Finance and Investments to drive the company’s financial strategy, FP&A, capital raising and investment management. The role involves leading a finance team, managing treasury and governance, and guiding major business decisions with financial insight. It focuses on raising capital, evaluating opportunities, and deploying capital to scale VivaFemini’s healthcare ecosystem across Africa. The position is hybrid and located in Lagos. It targets a senior finance professional with a track record in funding, investment appraisal and strategic financial leadership.

What you would do

• Lead FP&A, budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling.
• Oversee and develop the Finance team with clear responsibilities and performance expectations.
• Evaluate revenue models, profitability, cash flow and viability of initiatives.
• Provide actionable financial insights to the executive team.
• Identify, originate and secure funding across institutional debt, equity, grants and other instruments.
• Manage financing transactions from opportunity identification to financial close and disbursement.
• Build and maintain relationships with investors, lenders, DFIs and foundations.
• Develop capital allocation, treasury, liquidity management and deployment strategies.
• Advise leadership on capital structure, investment priorities and major commercial decisions.
• Lead financial controls, compliance, risk management and governance of the Finance function.

• Strong experience in FP&A, financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
• Proven track record in originating, negotiating or closing funding or investment transactions.
• Experience in capital management, treasury and investment appraisal.
• Leadership capability and ability to engage with CEOs, Boards and investors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Banking or related field; professional qualifications (ACCA, ACA, CFA, MBA) advantageous.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a senior finance or corporate finance role.
• Experience in healthcare, HealthTech, technology or high-growth environments is advantageous.
