The role is for a Head of DSR Transport based in Lagos, reporting to Dangote Industries. The position oversees and optimises all logistics and fleet operations across the organisation, ensuring cost-effective transport, timely delivery, safety compliance, and efficient management of trucks and related infrastructure. What you would do

• Monitor truck movements to meet delivery schedules at refineries, warehouses and customer sites.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives and manage workshops, truck parks and fuel depots efficiently.
• Oversee transport and logistics activities including daily loading, dispatch and delivery.
• Lead, mentor and develop the logistics and fleet team.
• Develop and manage the annual transport and fleet budget.
• Drive logistics planning to achieve On Time, In Full, Invoiced Correctly targets.
• Ensure regular vehicle inspections, preventive maintenance and licensing.
• Maintain records on performance metrics, safety, and training.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Production to align logistics with processes.
• Promote HSSE culture across fleet operations.

What they are asking for

• 10 to 15 years of experience in logistics and transport, including at least 10 years in a senior management role.
• Membership of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport or similar professional body.
• First degree in Transportation, Industrial Engineering, Social Sciences, Statistics, Accounting, Management or related fields.
