About this role
The role leads business development and market development for NASD PLC, focusing on originating issuers, securities and distribution partnerships to build the Commercial Paper market and secondary market liquidity in West Africa. It requires a senior commercial origination approach with strong capital‑markets relationships to convert into revenue, primarily in Lagos.
What you would do
- Recruit and manage relationships with market makers and liquidity providers.
- Develop distribution partnerships to broaden investor access to NASD securities.
- Build relationships with issuing houses, brokers, investment banks, asset managers, pension operators, trustees and custodians.
- Maintain a live pipeline of potential issuers across Commercial Paper, equity/private markets and other NASD products.
- Identify companies suitable for NASD admission and develop commercial propositions to bring them to market.
- Own prospective transactions from initial contact through onboarding, execution and post‑transaction relationship management.

- Strong relationships across Nigerian corporates, brokers, issuing houses, institutional investors and other capital‑market participants.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics or related field; Master’s/MBA preferred.
- Solid understanding of Commercial Paper, fixed income, equity/private markets and capital‑raising processes.
- 10–15+ years of relevant capital‑markets experience in roles such as investment banking, securities dealing, issuing houses, asset management or market infrastructure.
- Proven track record of originating and closing transactions with measurable revenue impact.
- Ability to convert relationships into mandates, transactions, liquidity and revenue.
