Guest Relations Officer

What you would do
- Anticipate guest needs and build rapport with customers
- Receive and resolve complaints within authority or escalate as needed and follow up
- Greet guests on arrival and maintain visibility in guest areas
- Brief guests on facilities, services, events and promotions
- Ensure compliance with health and quality standards
- Review arrival lists to welcome guests
- Assist with local information, recommendations, transport and special requests
- Keep accurate, confidential records of complaints and preferences
- Liaise with Front Desk, Housekeeping, F&B, Maintenance and Security; support check-in/check-out during busy periods
- Record information in the logbook and attend to VIPs and special guests

- Working knowledge of hotel property management systems and Microsoft Office
- At least 2 years of experience in a hotel, guest relations, front office or customer service role
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a warm and professional manner
- Strong attention to detail, organisation and follow-through
- Good problem-solving abilities and ability to stay calm under pressure
- OND, HND or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Mass Communication, Business Administration or related field
- Good judgement, tact and discretion with VIPs and sensitive matters
- Ability to work well in a team and across departments
- Excellent spoken and written English; knowledge of other languages is an advantage
- Open to female applicants; resident in Abuja
