Guest Relations Officer

A Guest Relations Officer is needed to welcome and assist guests at Musada Hotels and Luxury Suites in Abuja. The role involves managing arrival and departure processes, assisting VIPs, providing information about amenities and local areas, and addressing guest requests and complaints. The officer is expected to anticipate needs, build rapport, and coordinate with other departments to ensure a smooth guest experience. The position requires a formal hospitality or related degree, relevant hotel experience, and strong English communication, with preference for those familiar with luxury or upscale settings. What you would do

• Review arrival lists and welcome guests
• Attend to special guests and answer inquiries
• Provide information about hotel facilities and local area
• Promote hotel services and assist with tasks like travel arrangements
• Address and escalate guest complaints as needed
• Record information in logbooks and ensure compliance with standards
• Brief guests on facilities, services, events and promotions
• Assist with local information, transport, and special requests
• Collect feedback from guests and report recurring issues
• Coordinate with Front Desk, Housekeeping, F&B, Maintenance and Security during operations

What they are asking for

• OND, HND or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Mass Communication, Business Administration or related field
• At least 2 years of hotel, guest relations, front office or customer service experience
• Working knowledge of hotel property management systems and Microsoft Office
• Excellent spoken and written English; additional languages are a plus
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a professional manner
• Good problem-solving abilities and composure under pressure
• Good judgement, tact and discretion with VIPs and sensitive matters
• Strong attention to detail, organisation and follow-through
• Ability to work well in a team and across departments
• Resident in Abuja and female applicants only
