About this role
The Group Chief Financial Officer will provide strategic financial leadership for WTS Energy in Lagos, a firm that supplies consultants to the international oil, gas and energy industry. The role oversees corporate finance functions such as planning, reporting, treasury, tax, risk management, investor relations and capital allocation, and acts as a principal adviser to the CEO and Board while ensuring regulatory and accounting compliance.
What you would do
- Develop and execute the organisation's long-term financial strategy, including planning, budgeting and forecasting.
- Oversee financial operations such as accounting, audits, treasury, tax and reporting, ensuring IFRS/GAAP compliance.
- Monitor financial performance and lead actions to improve profitability, efficiency, and return on capital.
- Manage capital raising activities, cash flow, liquidity planning and working capital, and maintain relations with banks and investors.
- Establish and monitor internal controls and risk management to ensure governance and regulatory compliance.
- Lead, mentor and develop the finance and accounting teams.

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline.
- ACCA, CPA, ACA, CFA or equivalent professional qualification.
- 12-18+ years of progressive experience in senior finance roles.
- Strong background in financial strategy, corporate finance and capital management; experience in risk management and compliance.
- Knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and regulatory requirements; proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting and analytics.
- Leadership, communication and stakeholder management; executive presence.
