Grant and Compliance Officer
About this role
A full-time Grant and Compliance Officer role based in Borno for EYN Projects, a NGO. The position focuses on ensuring grants, spending, documentation and donor requirements are met, working with programme, finance, M&E, procurement and senior management to manage risks and compliance across donor-funded projects.
What you would do
- Escalate significant compliance concerns to management.
- Maintain records of grant agreements, amendments, reports and related documents.
- Monitor financial compliance of sub-grantees and partners.
- Review partner agreements, budgets, reports and supporting documentation.
- Provide guidance and training on grants management and donor compliance to staff.
- Support timely donor reporting and ensure grant documentation is complete and retained according to requirements.
What they are asking for
- Minimum 3–5 years in grants management, compliance, finance, audit or related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Development Studies or related field.
- Experience supporting audits, financial reviews, or donor assessments.
- Professional certification such as ACCA, ICAN, CPA, CIMA or relevant certification is an advantage.
- Experience with donor-funded projects and understanding donor compliance requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication and analytical skills.
