About this role
The role is for a Geoscience – Geophysicist III on a contract basis in Lagos. The position supports and enhances 2D/3D seismic and wellbore acquisition programs, working with operating groups, technical specialists and vendors to deliver seismic and borehole survey solutions that meet company goals. There may be responsibilities as a formation evaluation specialist. What you would do
- Support and enhance 2D/3D seismic and borehole acquisition programs
- Interface with operating groups, technical specialists and vendors to provide acquisition solutions
- Deliver seismic and borehole survey acquisition work that safely meets company goals
- Possibly serve as a formation evaluation specialist
- Apply seismic inversion and AVO techniques and seismic attribute analysis
- Support interpretation of gravity and magnetic data
- Mentor and coach team members as needed
- Collaborate effectively within diverse work groups
- Utilise geology and geophysics interpretation skills in projects
- Contribute to seismic processing and acquisition operations

- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in geotechnical or geophysical sciences
- Competency in geology software and Petrel
- Experience with carbonates and post-stack/pre-stack seismic inversion and AVO
- Experience in seismic attribute analysis for structural and depositional interpretation
- Experience interpreting gravity and magnetic data
- Strong mentoring and coaching skills
- Good teamwork and ability to work with diverse groups
- Strong structural geology background across tectonic systems and reservoir types
- Advanced petrophysical analysis skills in siliciclastic settings
- Knowledge of local petroleum geology and geoscience computing skills
