Geophysicist III

About this role

Habrams Energy is looking for an experienced Geophysicist III to support 2D/3D seismic and wellbore seismic acquisition activities in Lagos. The role involves collaborating with operations teams, technical specialists, and vendors to deliver safe and effective seismic survey solutions aligned with company objectives. The position requires applying seismic inversion techniques, AV0, and seismic attribute analysis to interpret structures, depositional environments, and facies, with a focus on carbonate reservoirs and unconventional plays. It covers supporting seismic acquisition, processing, and geological interpretation work. The ideal candidate will have a geophysics or closely related degree and solid experience in interpretation, petrophysical analysis, and relevant software tools.

What you would do

• Apply post-stack and pre-stack seismic inversion and AVO techniques.
• Perform seismic attribute analysis to interpret structures and depositional environments.
• Apply geophysical knowledge to carbonate reservoirs and unconventional plays.
• Support seismic acquisition, processing, and geological interpretation activities.
• Collaborate with operating teams, technical specialists and vendors to deliver seismic survey solutions.

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in geotechnical or geophysical disciplines.
• Relevant experience in geophysics or a closely related role.
• Strong geological and geophysical interpretation skills.
• Advanced petrophysical analysis skills in siliciclastic settings.
• Proficiency in Petrel and relevant geoscience computing applications.
• Experience interpreting gravity and magnetic data.
• Strong knowledge of structural geology, petroleum geology, seismic processing, and seismic acquisition operations.
• Excellent teamwork, mentoring and coaching skills.
