About this role

Rubeth International Christian Academy in Abia is seeking a dedicated secondary school teacher to deliver quality lessons, support students’ academic and personal development, and uphold Christian values. The role targets candidates with a bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject and at least two years of teaching experience. The successful candidate will plan and deliver lessons, assess progress, maintain records, and participate in school activities.

What you would do

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in line with the curriculum and standards
• Teach assigned subjects effectively and ensure students understand the learning objectives
• Prepare lesson notes, schemes of work, assignments, tests, examinations, and other instructional materials
• Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback
• Maintain records of attendance, grades, assessments, and student performance
• Maintain classroom discipline and promote a respectful, safe, and productive learning environment

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject (B.Ed/B.Sc/B.A./B.Tech or equivalent); NCE may be considered for junior secondary
• TRCN registration or eligibility for registration is advantageous
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a reputable school
• Experience with the Nigerian secondary curriculum and WAEC/NECO/BECE preparation is advantageous
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and classroom management skills
• Proficiency in ICT and digital literacy; ability to use technology in teaching
