General Manager - Marine Works Division

About this role

A senior leadership role for the Marine Works Division based in Lagos. The role targets someone with extensive civil/marine engineering experience and a track record in leading large marine infrastructure projects, including port rehabilitation.

What you would do

• Define and implement the division's strategy, operating model and performance standards.
• Oversee marine works activities such as port rehabilitation, quay walls, dredging, and related civil works.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, claims and project profitability for the division.
• Represent the company with clients, port authorities and stakeholders; maintain transparent communication on progress and risks.
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team and promote safety, quality and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, environmental requirements and contractual obligations.

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Civil, Marine or Coastal Engineering or related field.
• 20+ years of experience in civil engineering, marine construction or major infrastructure projects.
• Experience in senior leadership roles (General Manager, Operations Director, Project Director, etc.).
• Strong track record delivering large-scale marine infrastructure projects and budget responsibility.
• Proficiency with project management tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, MS Office).
• Professional engineering certification (PMP or equivalent) would be an advantage; experience in Africa valued.
