General Manager
About this role
A General Manager role in Lagos overseeing day-to-day leadership and operational performance for NairaPoint Finance, a licensed digital fintech focused on ethical lending, investments, and retail wealth management. The position targets someone with extensive banking/fintech experience and strong leadership to drive revenue, risk management, compliance and team development.
What you would do
- Lead the development and execution of strategic and annual business plans and budgets.
- Drive revenue growth across loans, deposits, investments, wealth management and merchant services.
- Oversee day-to-day operations across core functions including sales, credit, treasury, POS and technology.
- Set and monitor departmental KPIs and take corrective action to meet targets.
- Ensure efficient digital platforms and customer service quality.
- Prepare and present management reports on financial results, portfolio quality, liquidity, and performance to the Board.
What they are asking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
- Professional qualification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, CIBN, CFA) is an added advantage.
- 10–12 years in banking or financial services with at least 5 years in a senior management role in microfinance, finance house or licensed fintech in Nigeria.
- Experience in lending, deposit mobilisation, investment products, and understanding of CBN regulations for microfinance and digital services.
- Proven ability to lead multi-functional teams, drive revenue and portfolio growth, and manage credit, liquidity and operational risk.
- Strong leadership, analytical, negotiation, reporting and stakeholder engagement skills.
