General Manager
About this role
A General Manager is needed to provide strategic leadership and oversee all hotel operations at a luxury property in Lagos. The role covers departments including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Kitchen, Facilities, Security, Sales & Marketing, Finance and HR, with a focus on guest experience, profitability and brand standards. The position requires extensive hospitality leadership experience, strong business acumen and a track record in managing luxury hotel operations to international standards. What you would do
- Provide overall leadership and direction for all hotel operations
- Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with vision, goals and profitability targets
- Drive growth, efficiency and service excellence across hotel operations
- Oversee daily operations of all departments to ensure smooth service delivery
- Maintain luxury hospitality standards and coordinate cross-departmental activities
- Ensure world-class guest service and handle VIPs and escalated requests
- Monitor guest feedback and implement service improvements
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts and financial plans
- Monitor revenue metrics and implement cost-control measures
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to boost occupancy and revenue
What they are asking for
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or related field
- Master’s degree in Hospitality Management or Business Administration is an added advantage
- 8-10 years in hospitality with at least 5-7 years in senior management in luxury hotels
- Proven track record in managing high-end luxury hospitality operations
- Professional hospitality certifications are an added advantage
- Strong leadership, strategic management and communication skills
- Deep knowledge of luxury hotel operations and standards
- Financial management and business development capabilities
- Ability to lead, negotiate and build relationships
- Detail-oriented with ability to work under pressure
